Bailey Doucette
Instructor

Bailey began dancing with La Danse School of Dance Arts at the age of three in Saskatoon, SK. Having mainly trained in the disciplines of Jazz, Lyrical and Ballet, she focused her practice on Hip Hop, Street Jazz & Choreography in her later years as a competitive dancer. At a young age, she was offered the opportunity to teach dance classes and create routines at her elementary and secondary schools that further encouraged her passion for instruction and choreography. Having obtained her first choreography award at nineteen, her work, along with the performances of many of her students, has since been recognized and awarded at various competitions within Saskatchewan and Alberta. Her choreography has been featured, both locally and abroad, at events such as; Nuit Blanche, Saskatoon Blades Halftime Performance, Harlem Globetrotters Halftime Performance and Disney Performing Arts Onstage.

Bailey continues to expand upon her knowledge of dance by training with Level Up Dance Company and ODNT; a 19+ competitive Hip Hop group. Since beginning instruction at formal dance schools in 2015, Bailey has also achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts Honours at the University of Saskatchewan. She hopes that her passion for art and movement will allow her students to thrive under her knowledgeable and upbeat direction. She is looking forward to her first season with Studio 747 and aspires to create lasting relationships within the studio and the surrounding area!

Testimonials

It is so great to have such talented dance instructors in our small community so that our young girls and boys can dance, and as parents we can make it work as there is no long commute!  My daughter is always eager for dance class to start, is able to do what she loves, and always has positive things to tell me after dance class, which to me says a lot about our dance studio!                                                                                                                           -Megan S.

“ I have 3 girls that attend Studio 747 and the enthusiasm of the teachers and the atmosphere is what makes them so passionate about dance.  I couldn’t imagine them dancing anywhere else.”                                       -Chantel N.

It was my daughters first year with 747, after moving from a different studio and it was such a warm Welcome from Mr. Kelly and his team. They made it a very easy transition for her and are amazing at what they do!!! I can’t wait to see what the years ahead hold!!                                                                                                                       - Lee H.
